MANILA – The Palace on Tuesday said Filipinos are discerning enough to recognize which leaders are genuinely delivering results, as new survey data showed improved public support for President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
According to the latest Pulse Asia survey conducted from Feb. 27 to March 2, the President’s approval and trust ratings both registered gains in early 2026.
Marcos recorded a 36 percent approval rating and a 35 percent trust score—marking notable increases from the 25 percent levels seen in March 2025. The figures also showed slight improvement from his December 2025 ratings of 34 percent approval and 32 percent trust.
In contrast, Vice President Sara Duterte experienced a dip in her ratings, although she continued to post higher scores than the President.
Palace Press Officer Claire Castro, however, dismissed the comparison, saying the administration remains focused on its responsibilities regardless of survey standings.
She added that President Marcos remains committed to listening to the concerns of Filipinos and addressing their needs through concrete government programs.
